God Wants You to Stand for His Glory

Be the Influencer, Not the Influenced

God is calling you to be the influencer and not the influenced. He has placed a divine purpose on your life, and that purpose cannot be fulfilled if you are entangled with the world. The Lord doesn't let certain friendships work out because He doesn't want you to be pulled away from Him by worldly influences.

Remember, the scripture says, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4). You see, if you align yourself with the values and ways of the world, you create distance between you and God. He desires your heart to be fully His, and that is why He steps in to hinder those connections and relationships.

When you try to get close to worldly influences—whether it’s your boss, celebrities, powerful figures, or those who do not know God—you may find that things just don’t work out. That’s because God is not behind those fellowships.  God’s word tells us, "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" (1 Corinthians 15:33), so the more you try to fit in with the world, the more you diminish the strength of your relationship with God. The truth is, God is not interested in you fitting into the world’s systems; He wants you to be set apart for His glory.

God wants you to stand alone if necessary, so that you can be a bold witness for Him. He desires you to be the standout, the one who carries His light into the dark places of the world. He wants you to be a voice that reaches the masses with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid" (Matthew 5:14). You are called to be the influencer, to shape the world around you with the power of God’s Word, not the other way around.

The Lord wants you connected to Him, not the world. He desires for you to be separated, sanctified for His divine purpose. As the scripture says, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17). Your calling is too important to be diluted by worldly attachments. You are called to preach, teach, and influence the nations for God’s Kingdom. Don’t allow worldly relationships to distract you from the incredible work He has prepared for you.

God’s purpose for your life is powerful and unique. He has called you to impact the world, but not by blending in with it. Instead, He calls you to stand firm, filled with His Spirit, to reach others with the truth of the Gospel. When you stay connected to Him, He will open doors for you to influence nations, to preach His Word, and to carry out His plans. Trust in His purpose for your life and let Him guide you into the fullness of what He has prepared for you.
